Roger Rahlf, age 67, of New Hampton, died on Monday, January 28, 2008 at his home. Roger William Rahlf was born September 29, 1940 to Richard and Ramona (Brown) Rahlf in New Hampton, Iowa. Roger attended country schools in the New Hampton area and graduated from New Hampton High School in 1958. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. Roger worked for Bolan Cattle Company of Sumner, Five Star Coop in New Hampton and Eckenrod Farms. Roger loved farming, trucking and his dogs and enjoyed fishing especially ice fishing. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and United Congregational Church in New Hampton. Roger is survived by three sons Bob (Deb) Rahlf of New Hampton, Bill (Leanne) Rahlf of Oelwein, IA and James Rahlf of Chester, IA; six stepchildren; eight grandchildren; three sisters Kathleen Rahlf of New Hampton, Carol (Ed) Rahlf of New Hampton and Charlotte Peterson of Mason City; sister-in-law Muriel Rahlf of Tripoli; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Russell and niece Christine Peterson. Cemetery: Burial will be in New Hampton Cemetery with Todd Suhr, Bob Rosonke, Darwin Sittig, Dan Feenstra, Donny Casperson, Larry Brown, Bernie Mathews and Russell Robrock serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Francis Kramer, Russ Hubner, Kip Jones, Ray Panoch, Albert Rahlf, Les Rahlf, Merlyn Kasemeir, and Ed Weigel . Visitation: Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home in New Hampton and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Service: Funeral services will be 11:00am on Friday, February 1, 2008 at the United Congregational Church in New Hampton with Pastor Mary Hatch officiating. rn
