Johnny Jerome Harrison was born July 5, 1933, on the family farm west of Nashua, the only child of Harry and Bernice (Young) Harrison. He attended Nashua High School, graduating in 1954. He was very proud of this accomplishment because school was not easy for him. He was hearing impaired, so learning along with his classmates was difficult. After graduation, Johnny joined his father on the farm. He took over for his parents, and farmed until retirement in 1996. He took great pride and worked very hard to keep his farm in immaculate condition. Johnny could be found at many Nashua-Plainfield sporting events, town celebrations, and the many parades around the area.
Survivors include four cousins; Glenna (Darwin) Menengay-Buls of Plainfield, David (Joy) Young of Eldora, Florence Stufflebeam of Waverly, and Jerome Young of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three cousins, Harold White, Roy White, and Leslie Young.
We will miss his contagious smile at various school and civiic functions he attended. He was always a great supporter of the Nashua community. His presence will be missed around town. He has earned his eternal reward and may he now rest in peace.
