Alfreda 'Freddie' Eskildsen age 85, of New Hampton died Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Linn Haven Rehab and Healthcare in New Hampton. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at the New Hampton City Cemetery with Pastor Rod Meyer officiating. Trevor Johnson, Tony Johnson, Chad Smith, Chub Frese, Ian Collins, and Chris Dahl will serve as pallbearers. Friends may greet the family 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Hugeback – Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton. Alfreda “Freddie” Eskildsen was born August 9, 1929, in Sacramento, California, the daughter of James and Violet (Fereira) Howard. Freddie attended school in Sacramento and was a graduate of Sacramento Senior High in 1948. She continued her education at the Junior College in Sacramento. Freddie was introduced to Dick Eskildsen and the couple married on May 1, 1954 in Sacramento. To this union two children were born. The Eskildsen family moved to New Hampton in 1969, where they founded New Hampton Plumbing & Heating. Together, they served the New Hampton and surrounding areas for over thirty years, with Freddie serving as the Office Manager. Freddie was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Freddie treasured time spent with her family, friends, and neighbors. Freddie is survived by one daughter, Cheryl (Rod) Meyer of Harcourt, IA; son, Michael Eskildsen of Georgia; brother, Jim Howard of Wyoming; sister, Hope (Jim) Wilson of Reno, NV; grandchildren; Trisha (Chad) Smith, Trevor (Megan) Johnson, Tony (Heather) Johnson all of North Liberty, IA, Paula (Ryan) Kettell, Thomas (Elizabeth) Eskildsen, Clay (Kimberly) Eskildsen, Michelle (Jamie) Webb, Jerry Eskildsen, Deidre Eskildsen, Amelia Eskilldsen great-grandchildren, Haileigh Smith, Kaiden Smith, Cameron Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Logan Eskildsen, Cayden Eskildsen, Aria Eskildsen, Emersyn Eskildsen, Azlyn Webb, Braylon Webb, Gracie Eskildsen, & Halie Eskildsen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard (August 29, 1990); two brothers, Guy Keer, Earl Keer; sister, Rilda Sheaffer; great-grandson, Logan Johnson.
