Kevin Ray Bee, age 68 of New Hampton, Iowa died Sunday February 22, 2015 at Linn Haven Rehab and Healthcare in New Hampton surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday February 27, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist and Brethren Church in Fredericksburg with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg. Visitation will be held 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday February 26th at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with a 7:30 scripture service. Further visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Kevin Ray Bee was born May 30, 1946, in New Hampton, Iowa the son of Keith Kerssen and Beatrice Bee. He went to Chickasaw County country schools until 8th grade and subsequently was a 1965 graduate from the Fredericksburg High School. After high school Kevin attended Wartburg College in Waverly for a year before transferring to Wisconsin University in Platteville, where he received his B.A. Degree. While at Wartburg he met Janet Gresham. The couple was united in marriage on September 7, 1968, in Wisconsin. To this union three children were born. Kevin worked for various accounting firms after college, including some in Wisconsin and California before starting his own firm in Fredericksburg. Additionally, he started other businesses, including a broom factory in Fredericksburg. He was active in volunteer organizations such as the Lion’s Club, as well. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and dreamed of bringing more businesses and jobs to the Fredericksburg community. Kevin had many interests throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with his cats, collecting many different items and spending time with his family and friends. He loved attending Minnesota Vikings and Timberwolves games, always bringing along a friend or family member to enjoy the games with him. He was a connoisseur of rich foods and enjoyed dining at all the nicest restaurants around. Survivors include one son, Kevin Bee Jr. of Tokyo, Japan; one daughter, Pamela (Ken) Sharar of Estherville, Iowa; one brother, Ronald (Vicki) McGill of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Marjorie (Wayne) Rasing of New Hampton and Brenda; his father Keith Kerssen; two more brothers, Tim (Rong) Kerssen of San Diego California, Dalen (Susan) Gudmunson of Hastings, Minnesota; and four more sisters, Sonia (Steve) Larson of Centuria, Wisconsin, Pam (Doug) Christiansen of Woodbury, Minnesota, Elizabeth (Roy) Buchholz of Innver Grove Heights Minnesota, and Dawn (Ken) Kelly of South St. Paul Minnesota.. Kevin was preceded in death by one son, Joel; granddaughter Christina Sharar; mother Beatrice; stepfather, Jim McGill; and grandmother, Bernice Dense.

As we visited our father, Arthur, at Lynn Haven, we had a good time reconnecting with Kevin as we lived so close together as kids and rode the school bus together.
