Justin Steenhard, age 31, of Elma, IA died on Monday, September 10, 2012, in a construction accident near Marion, IA. Justin Daniel Steenhard was born on May 25, 1981 to Martin and Kathi (Smith) Steenhard in Cresco, IA where he attended school. He was later employed as a welder and also was employed in the construction field. Most recently, he was employed by CFI in affiliation with Croell Redi-Mix for the past three years. He enjoyed camping, tinkering in his garage on vehicle repair, playing pool, bonfires and spending time with his daughters and family. Justin is survived by his father, Martin Steenhard (significant other, Susan Boehmer) of Cresco, IA; his mother, Kathi (Tom) Mihm of Elma; his fianc, Missy Holthaus of Elma; his daughters, Kirsten Turvold and Amber Steenhard, both of Cresco; his brother, Michael (Stacy) Boehmer of bowling Green, KY; his sisters Amy Boehmer (Fiance, Scott Tienter) of Lime Springs, IA and Lacey Roethler of Elma; his grandparents, Larry and Maryann Steenhard of Waverly, IA and Gene and Patricia Miller of Dumont, IA and Jack and Norma Smith of Cresco, IA; great-grandma, Ruby Hawke of Dumont, IA; his good friend, Tony Roethler and numerous aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents and his paternal great-grandpas and great-grandma.
Cemetery:
Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Schley, IA.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Conway-Markham Funeral Chapel in Elma, IA and will continue at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30am on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church in Elma with Father Steve Garner celebrating.

I went to school with Justin many years ago. He was such a great kid and turned out to be a great young man! I ran into him the other day after not seeing him for years. We picked right up where we left off. He will be missed by many and he always had a smile on his face. R.I.P only the good die young.

A loss before its time. So sad, so much living yet to do. We were camping @ Lidtke over Labor Day, BSd w Justin for awhile. Talked about his camper, never knowing his days were numbered.
