James Russell “Jim” Johnson, age 68, of Nashua died Sunday, March 7, 2010.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Hugeback and Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua with Rev. Okitakoyi Lundula officiating. Special music selections include “Amazing Grace,” “In the Garden,” and “The Old Rugged Cross.”
Inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua at a later date.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jim was born October 31, 1941, in rural Nashua, Iowa on the family farm, the son of Eugene and Virginia (Arnett) Johnson. He attended Nashua public schools. Jim worked at Walsh Manufacturing in Charles City for a number of years. He often attended high school sporting events. Jim’s passion was attending auctions. He collected many things throughout his life. Jim’s farm had many different animals, including dogs and potbellied pigs, and he enjoyed taking care of them and spending time with them.
Jim is survived by his cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
