Colette "Coco" Fowler age 73 of Fredericksburg, IA, died Thursday, May 11, 2023, at her daughter's home in Fayette. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Hillcrest Baptist & Brethren Church in Fredericksburg with Pastor Rusty Phillips officiating. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Hillcrest Baptist & Brethren Church in Fredericksburg prior to the service. Colette Pearl Fowler, lovingly known as Coco, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, in Fayette, Iowa. Born on March 8, 1950, in Elgin, Illinois, Coco lived a life full of love, creativity, and dedication to her family and friends. Coco graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1969 and moved to Elgin, Illinois, to begin her adult life. It was there that she met her beloved husband, Charles Fowler, and the couple married on November 25, 1977, in South Elgin, Illinois. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters, Kimberly and Susanna, and Coco took great pride in being a dedicated mother and homemaker. In 2000, Charles and Coco moved to Iowa and eventually settled in Fredericksburg in 2014. During this time, Coco began working for her brother Glen at his restaurant, Here'z 2 U. She was known for her friendly demeanor, always making patrons feel welcome and at home. Coco had a passion for shopping and ceramics, and she enjoyed expressing her creativity through various craft projects. She was an amazing baker, and her cherry bars became a sought-after treat among family and friends. As a wine enthusiast, Coco loved traveling to local wineries to enjoy a glass of wine and the beautiful scenery. Coco is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly (Kenny Ames) Fowler of Austin, TX, and Susanna Fowler of Fayette, IA; her grandchildren, Jordan Fowler, Zachary Fowler, Josh (Amber) Fowler, and Payton Ames; and her five siblings, Judy (Ron) Moody of Fredericksburg, IA, Paulette (Buck) Inman of Belvidere, IL, Jerry (Patty) Davis of Fredericksburg, IA, Glen Davis of Fredericksburg, IA, and Linda (Randy) Hochstedler of Marion, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Fowler, in 2018; and her sister, Jane Davis. Coco will be remembered for her loving nature, friendly smile, and creative spirit. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
