To the family, Phyllis and I are so sorry to have read that Bill passed away. We’ll always remember him as a hard working member of the V.F.W. especially when we used to have those auctions. There is a greatful group of Vets that he helped on the Board and families that he saw that they got the proper military markers. He will be missed.
my thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family.
Dear Bonnie, You’re in our thoughts now, and in the days to come. With deepest sympathy.
Bill and his great sense of humor were special. He was always ready to have a good time. I remember 45 years ago when he was the first one of our water skiing group to attempt the new ski jump. His face-first, spread-eagle landing had us all in stitches and no one laughed harder than Bill. It was typical of Bill. It was a joy to know him. Our prayers are with you.
I will remember my uncle as a man who served graciously in the military, as well as his community. He always spoke his mind. Though not always well received, it was always well respected. When I was younger he would always welcome me to the farm and show me the ways of an outdoors-man: fishing, hunting, and an appreciation for wildlife, and of course, horses. I learned how to ‘properly’ hold a catfish on one of the fishing trips. He had a ‘big’ heart for serving and was called accordingly. Thanks for the memories Big Bill.
