Wayne Swinton

Wayne R. Swinton age 71 of Cedar Falls, died Thursday morning, December 6, 2012, at New Aldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua. There will be no public visitation. The Hugeback & Johnson Funeral Home (641) 435-4134 in Nashua is in charge of arrangements. Wayne R. Swinton was born August 6, 1941, in Richland Twps. Near Nashua, Iowa. He was the eldest son of Robert and Joyce (Richards) Swinton. Wayne graduated from Nashua High School in 1959. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force serving from 1961 to 1965. Wayne was united in marriage to Katherine Small on August 27, 1965, in East Hartford, Conn. To this union two boys were born. He work as a machinist for 30 years at John Deere, before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Katherine of Cedar Falls; his sons: Gary (Donica) of Grand Haven, MI and Arlo of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Garrett, Cody, Gatlin and Shaylie; two sisters, Judy Swinton of Albuquerque, NM and Carol Millington of Richmond, VA. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary; a sister, Jean Smart
