She received her education at St. Boniface Catholic Schools and graduated High School in 1944. Shortly after graduation, Virginia left Ionia and found work in Washington D.C. as a secretary for the FBI. After three years she moved to Cedar Rapids, IA and worked as a secretary, first for National Oats and then Virginia took a new position for the marketing and research company Frank Magid & Associates.
Virginia loved to travel and visited many places in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Throughout her travels she attended three different World’s Fairs. She was a very independent woman that was always on the go looking for the next adventure. Virginia enjoyed getting dressed up and going out for nice dinners.
