Tonya Kay Dann, age 49 of Mason City, IA, formerly of Nashua, IA, died Sunday, July 5, 2026, at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026, at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory – Olson Chapel in NASHUA with Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in NASHUA.

Friends are invited to greet the family from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. before the funeral service on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the funeral home in NASHUA.

Tonya Kay Dann, born May 26, 1977, passed away on July 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love, and selfless devotion to others that will be deeply cherished by all who knew her.

Tonya received most of her education in the Nashua school system and graduated from Charles City in 1995. Her school years helped shape the caring and dependable person she became, and she carried those qualities with her throughout her life. She was known for her warm presence and her ability to make others feel welcome and appreciated. Whether among family, friends, or those she met in her daily life, Tonya had a way of bringing comfort and kindness into every room she entered.

Throughout her working life, Tonya served others with compassion and grace. She worked at Comprehensive Systems and Home Health Care, where her caring nature and strong sense of responsibility made her a valued presence. She also worked as a waitress, where she brought smiles and kindness to those whom she served. Tonya understood the importance of small acts of goodness, and she gave them freely. Her work reflected the very best of who she was, as she found purpose in helping others and in making ordinary moments brighter for those around her.

Tonya had a deep love for her dogs and her cat, and her pets were treasured companions in her life. She enjoyed the comfort and joy they brought her, and she gave them the same affection and devotion she so naturally offered to people. She was survived by her parents, Ronald and Joyce (Madden) Dann of Des Moines, IA; her two brothers, Randy (Bella) Dann of Osceola, IA, and Eric (Gendel) Dann of Des Moines, IA; and her two nephews, Alix and Todd (Jennifer) Dann. Her family was the center of her heart, and she valued the bonds they shared with a loyalty and tenderness that never wavered. The love she gave to those closest to her was steady, sincere, and always felt in the many thoughtful ways she showed she cared.
