Timothy Lynn Dann age 56 of Nashua, Iowa died Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Muse - Norris Hospice in Mason City. Friends may greet the family 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua . Burial will be at a later date. Timothy Lynn Dann was born February 28, 1958, in Charles City, IA, the son of Frank and Dorothy (Taylor) Dann. Tim grew up and lived most of his life in Nashua. He was a graduate of the Nashua High School and was very active on the wrestling team. After high school he joined the Marine Corps. When he returned to Nashua he met Cynthia Welver and they were married shorty there after. On December 27, 1986, Cynthia passed away at a very young age. In 1988 Tim met Shirley Bill and on October 12, 1996 at the Faith Bible Chapel in Charles City were united in marriage. Tim was known for his hard work ethic. A few of his jobs included working at Nashua Monument Company, the Beatrice Cheese Factory in Fredericksburg and Featherlite in Cresco. Tim always enjoyed working and staying busy. Tim’s granddaughters meant the world to him, especially Izabelle and Victoria. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, boating and being on the water, along with playing cards with childhood friend, Annette Hutzell. Being outside and staying active was always important to Tim. He will be tremendously missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Shirley; two sons, Richard (Frankie) Bunn of Nashua and Michael Bill of Charles City; two daughters, Kristy Dann of West Bend, IA and Rosea (Jeff) Hamelau of LaGrande, IA; twelve grandchildren; four brothers, Robert (Sharrill) Dann and Ron (Joyce) Dann, all of Nashua, James (Cheri) Dann of Greene, Bruce (Diane) Dann of Charles City; three sisters, Mary Madden, Diana Wiles, both of Charles City and Barbara Zelmer of Mason City; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Cynthia; brothers, John, Dennis and twin brother, Thomas Dann.

  2. Tim first came out for wrestling in 9th grade. He wrestled varsity all 4 years in high school. He never was pinned in any of his matches. He didn’t quite make it to state, but gave it his all. Pound for pound he was one of the strongest light weight 119 pounders I have ever known. He will be missed by me and his fellow bulldog wrestlers. Gerry Bakke
