Theophilus "TJ" Stepan age 87 of Nashua, IA, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Linn Haven Rehab and Healthcare in New Hampton.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 5 p.m. At the home of Val Johnson. 301 Woodbridge Street, Nashua, Iowa.
Theophilus John Stepan was born June 20, 1933, in Iowa City, IA, the son of John and Lillian (Pecinovsky) Stepan. On June 29, 1965, in New Hampton, he married Mary Johnson. The couple initially lived in Lawler and later moved to the Nashua area.
TJ is survived by his step-daughter, Valorie Johnson of Nashua, IA; one brother, Edward Stepan of West Union, IA; one sister, Lillian Karnik of Spillville, IA; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Stepan in 2012; one step-daughter, Della Johnson; one brother, Vincent Stepan; one sister, Agnes McGee.

TJ was a good friend to my Mom! She enjoyed his visits and also he always did anything she asked. My husband and I had some nice visits with him if we were lucky to be at Moms when he stopped! Also when working at the grocery we had visits as well. He was such a good man My blessings to his family

Garth (former Big 4 Fair Board & cattle exhibitor) and Nancy Griffin extend our condolences. We remember him parking vehicles and watching the livestock gate many years. He was so nice and friendly.
