Susanne M. Marion age 64 of Charles City, formerly of North Washington died Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, North Washington with Rev. Mark Osterhaus celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Washington, with John Marion, Matt Marion, Brad Loberg, Todd Lemme, Dana Lemme and Bernie Huegel serving as pallbearers. Friends may greet the family 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton where there will be a 5:00 p.m. rosary and a 6:00 p.m. parish scripture service. Visitation continues an hour prior to the Mass at the church on Tuesday. Susanne Marie Marion was born April 18, 1949, in New Hampton, IA, the daughter of Wendell and Margaret (Huegel) Marion. She stayed at home with her parents until the age of 17 when she became a resident of the newly formed Comprehensive Systems in Charles City. Susanne had worked at the Treasure Chest in New Hampton for many years. She dearly loved the outings provided at Comprehensive Systems with their residents and staff. Susanne enjoyed Diet Pepsi in a can, Elvis, John Wayne and Tom Selleck. Survivors include one brother, John (Penny) Marion of Mt. Vernon, IA; one sister, Joan Petrich of Chicago; a sister-in-law, Mona Marion of Cedar Rapids; nieces and nephews, Perry Petrich, Lori Petrich, Lisa Buzzeli, Todd Lemme, Dana (Connie) Lemme, Stephanie (Brad) Loberg, Matthew Marion and Emily Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joseph Marion; Jim Marion; one sister, Maryanne Lemme; one brother-in-law, Michael Petrich.

  9. Susanne touched the hearts of many. I first met Susanne about 40 years ago when I was one of her instructors in her workshop program. I worked with her for 15 years and have very fond memories of her during those years. She was a happy, happy young lady at that time who loved her family with all her heart..
