Sharon K. Allison age 71 of Ionia, IA, went to be with her Lord Friday, July 1, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Ionia with Rev. Paul Pickar presiding. Jerry Bailey will be the organist accompanying the congregational hymns, 'In The Garden' and 'Amazing Grace'. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua, with Larry Wedeking, Mark Wedeking, Justin Haubrich, Pete Klassen, Jim Flick and Chad Flick serving as pallbearers. Friends may greet the family 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Sharon Kay Allison was born October 15, 1944 in Charles City, IA the daughter of Wilbur and Ida Marie (Love) Kollmann. She received her education in Nashua, graduating from the Nashua High School in 1963. On June 15, 1963 she was joined in marriage with Melvin Allison. To this union five children were born. Sharon lived every day of her life for her family. She was happiest when she could spend time with them. When she wasn't busy reading, embroidering or cooking, you would find her outside helping with the animals and farmwork. She took great delight when there were new baby calves to care for in the Spring. Survivors include her husband, Melvin; one son, Jim (Gail) Allison of New Hampton; three daughters, Sandy (Al) Haubrich, Amy Allison and Jennifer (Jason) Grisim all of Mason City; five grandchildren, Justin Haubrich, Kira Schwickerath, Marissa Schwickerath, Cassidy Allison and Valerie Allison; one brother, Wilbur (Terry) Kollmann of Harpers Ferry, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and son-in-law, Cyndy and Joe Perkins; one brother, Wendell Kollmann; and one sister, Charlotte Krumrey.

  7. I’ve been friends with Amy for over 15 years. I had the privilege to to meet her mom on several occasions. She loved it when I’d come up to her at a store and yell ‘Hey ma hows it goin?’ Amy spoke highly of her mom and had much respect for her. I know she will be greatly missed by the whole family. The years she worked for us, she was a MOM to me. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and we also share some great memories and laughs about her. Love her as part of our family.   9. I was with Jenn one afternnon riding around. We stopped at the Drugstore (?l) and chatted with her mom for quite awhile. One of the nicest, most caring, all inclusive women I’ve met.. So sorry she is gone.
