Dear Family: We are very sorry to hear about the loss of Sara. She was a good and beautiful person. I enjoyed growing up with her and being neighbors. I remember riding bikes past her house, school bus rides and attending church in Lourdes. Those were the good old days. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Steve, Ramona & Jacob
I am so very sorry about Sara, and can only guess how profoundly sad and lonely it must feel after the loss of a much beloved and extraordinary daughter, sister, wife. I think of you all very often and hope that you will find a path to peace and healing through your grief.
Your spirit will always remain with us.
I am soo sorry to hear about Sara’s illness and passing! I was involved in many activities with Sara in high school, being sandwiched between her and Greg in age. She brought joy and passion to everything she did. Everything was more fun when Sara was around! My deepest sympathies to all of you.

To anyone who could not attend the funeral of Sara on Friday I have to tell. The services were a beautiful and worthy tribute to dear Sara. The sun shining into the beautiful stained glass windows of the church made it feel very celestial and the thoughts and personal touches including the music were all as special as she was. Fr. Haugen made us all feel closer to her and one another in our grief. My applause and gratitude to all the family and friends who came and filled the church and those who planned this so well in her tribute, especially her sister Lisa.
Dear Francis, Peggy and your entire family, Words of comfort are hard to find, just know that we consider you and your family our dear friends and we pray that you will be comforted in this most difficult time. God Bless all of you. Jack & Nancy Anderson

Dear. Mr. & Mrs. Nibaur and family and John Baughman and family. We are so sorry for your loss of Sara. Sara was such a wonderful person, who would reach out with that beautiful smile and make new friends. I remember going to the hospital and seeing Sara and no matter how good or bad she felt that day i could get that smile out of her. And John! He was allways by her side doing everything possible in this fight. I know deep down that the day Sara left us, Sara got her wings to be that smiling angle at the gates of heaven. She will be there standing welcoming everyone who enters. We thank John and Sara for there friendship. And in the days to come for everyone that pease will replace the sorrow of the lost of Sara!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Gary ( Petie )
My sympathies to Sara’s family and friends. I spent many happy hours talking and singing around campfires in Indiana with Sara and John. She was a wonderful person with a beautiful laugh and a pretty voice. She also had one of the most upbeat personalities of anyone I have known. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.

I am finding it so very difficult to find the words that I want to say, and I realize that there really aren’t words to put down that would express my love and my sympathy. My heart is heavy because I cannot be there to pay respects to my very dear friend. My mother is very ill and it is neccessary that I be at her side. John, Doug and I are always here for you; whatever you need~we are just a backyard away. To the Nibaur family, I am deeply sorry that Sara is gone. I am however thankful that because of Sara, I have a family in Iowa that I will remain forever connected to. Hugs and above all, prayers to all of you. Peace to Sara in the arms of many angels.
One of the things that will always stand out about Sara is her smile. She could walk into a room and people would gravitate toward her because of the welcoming smile and her personality. She always seemed so bubbly. John, you are a lucky man to have been able to share your life with her.(I’m sure you know that) Peggy and Francis, you did an awesome job raising an angel. Jeff and Rose, Greg and Lisa and families, my heart is totally with you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. John Burke
Lisa and Sara’s family, I am a co-worker of Lisa’s. My deepest sympathy to you all. I was at a retreat this past weekend and we prayed for Sara every day. I’m sure Our Lord has welcomed her with open arms. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
We want to give you our deepest sympathy, for the loss of a daughter (sister) Sara. It has to be difficult.
John and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Sara since the 1st grade when we moved to Alta Vista. She was such a bright star to be around and I am fortunate to have been able to call her a friend. She was an angel walking among us and is now an angel watching over us. May beauty live on in your memories and bring you peace. She will never be forgotten.
John, you don’t know me but Sara and I were the best of friends as little girls. We even shared a birthday. I hadn’t talked to her for at least 15 years now and it was in October for the ‘big’ birthday that I started thinking about her again and that I should get back in touch to see if any of our ‘little girl’ dreams had come true for her. When my parents told me of her passing this week it affected me deeply. So it is with sincerest sympathy that I say to you and all the Nibaur family that I am sorry for your loss!
We want to express our condolences to Nibaur and Baughman families on the loss of Sara and to let them know that although we can’t attend the funeral they are in our thoughts and prayers.
Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
You are with all the other angels now, we will all miss your smiling face
To the family of Sara, we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you…

I was so sad to hear of her passing–but I know she is in a very happy and peaceful place–and smiling of course. She has touched the lives of so many people throughout her lifetime, and we can all be very blessed to have known her and loved her! My family expresses their deepest sympathy and prayers to John, Francis, Peggy, Greg, Lisa, Jeff and their families during this time–enjoy all the wonderful stories and memories that she has left to each of you–she will truly be missed!!

I worked with Sara and considered her my friend. I have missed not seeing her on a regular basis. I know she loved John & her family and I loved to hear about her trips back home. We were all so exicted for her the summer she won the tractor pulling trophy. Such a contradiction for the cute, petite little lady with the big smile. She was an inspiration and always the brightest light in the room. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I am really sorry to hear this. Sara and I graduated together. Sara always had a big smile on from ear to ear, and a great personality, and would always have time to talk to anyone/everyone. The Nibauer/Baughman family has my sympathy & condolences. She will be missed by all who knew here.

I will always have fond memories of the friendship Sara and I had growing up. I am very blessed to have had the opportunity to know Sara and will always treasure those memories!!
Sara will always hold a special place in my heart. I haven’t seen Sara in many years, but have so many fond memories from grade school and high school of cheerleading together, going to Sunday School in Lourdes after Saturday sleepovers, and getting lost a couple of times, late at night, coming home ‘the back way’, and trying not to miss a curfew. Sara was a genuine person I was blessed to call a ‘friend’ during those coming of age years. Her inner beauty will never be fogotten. My sincere sympanthies to John, Peggy, Francis, and the rest of her family during this difficult time.

She was a remarkable woman who showed an unwaivering amount of strength and courage these past few months and made an incredible impact in this world with her goodness and love. It was just a few weeks ago that Sara and I reconnected via e-mail. We shared stories and pictures and we’re blessed with our reconnection after many years. I will truely miss Sara, but will try to always carry her positve outlook on life with me in every thing I do. And though no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that your family is very close in every thought and prayer.

Whenever I here that song ‘Out Here On My Own’ from Fame, I think of Sara. She sang it at a variety show in Junior High. She was wonderful. It is her smile I remember the most though. It was quick and it was contagious. No words can make it better for those left behind, but know that she is not forgotten. God Bless

John and Family, I am so deeply saddened to hear of Sara’s passing. When I last saw her Friday, I had a feeling she was moving on to a better place. She gave me a hug and told me that she would always remember me. It was the clearest Sara had been to me in a week. I feel beyond honored to have taken care of such an amazing and wonderful person. She was inspiration to us all. You are an amazing family. I am praying for your strength throughout this sad time. Please let me know if I can do anything. Again, I send my deepest condolences.
