Ronald A. Peterson, age 64 of New Hampton, Iowa died Friday, May 3, 2019, at his home.
The family will hold private services at a later date.
Arrangements are with Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton.
Ronald Alan Peterson was born February 14, 1955, in Pontiac, IL, the son of John A. and Marion (Rosenberger) Peterson. He received his elementary education at St. Mary's Grade School in Pontiac and was a 1973 graduate of Taft High School in Chicago, IL. The Peterson family moved to New Hampton in 1964. He enjoyed genealogy, occasional trips to the casino and spending time with his family.
Survivors include four sisters, Carol Wunderlin of Pontiac, IL, Patricia Leichtman of New Hampton, Judith (John) Bredenkamp of Noblesville, IN, Shirley (Kuehner) Arndt of Lawler, IA; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Rick) Stoddard of Renton, WA, Judy Peterson of FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert "Bob" Peterson, Richard "Rick" Peterson.

Shirley. Pat, Judy, and Carol, I am so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Alice and Bob
Ron was one of my best friends at St. Mary’s and the years he was at New Hampton High School. Last night and today I’ve been thinking of all the fond memories of the times we spent together and the times I was at his house. The last time I saw him was probably about 1978 when I visited him at his apartment in Chicago. I wish we had kept in touch since then. He was a great friend! – May he rest in peace
