Robert Kobliska

Robert Walter Kobliska formerly of New Hampton, age 83 died September 20, 2014 in Cresco, at Regional Health Services of Howard County.
He was born October 3, 1930 in Deerfield Township northwest of New Hampton, the son of Charles (Carl) and Blanche (Burgart) Kobliska.
Robert (Bob) graduated from New Hampton High School in 1948. After graduation, Bob took up farming around the New Hampton area. On November 23, 1951 he was married to Ramona Poncelet, who preceded him in death. They later moved to a farm north of Waterloo. At that time, Bob owned a milk route. In 1962, he moved to a farm north of Waverly. Bob worked at Carnation for many years.
He was particularly good at making things such as wagons, chariots, and was very mechanically inclined. Bob was known as a handy-man with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Bob is survived by his brothers Harlan, John, Michael and Louis, and sisters, Joan and Mary; his children, Gregory, David, Margaret, Nancy, Mary, Annette, and Joseph, thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Rosemary in infancy, Charlotte and Patricia.
