Patricia Ann “Patsy” Eichenberger, age 74, of rural Iowa, passed away on June 17, 2026. She was born on November 27, 1951, and lived a life marked by love, creativity, and kindness. Patsy was known by her family and friends as a warm and caring woman whose gentle spirit touched many lives. She will be remembered for the devotion she showed to her family, the joy she found in helping others, and the many ways she shared her artistic talents with those around her.
Patsy married Duane Eichenberger at the Little Brown Church on June 15, 1984. Their marriage was built on companionship and laughter through the years. She worked at the Stork Hatchery in Fredericksburg, Iowa, for many years, where she was known for her dependable work ethic and her ability to make the job fun for everyone involved.
Patsy also spent many years babysitting and became known in her community as a neighborhood nanny. Her love for children was evident in the countless hours she spent caring for them, comforting them, and entertaining them. She loved being silly and making all the kids laugh, whether it be by dressing up as a clown, singing and dancing, or painting their faces.
Patsy was a talented artist who loved painting. While her favorite theme was landscapes and nature, she enjoyed the challenge of portraits and caricatures as well. For several years, she even painted pumpkins into her grandchildren’s favorite characters and delighted in watching their faces light up with excitement as she delivered them. She was also known for the elaborate and creative Halloween costumes she would make for Mike and Angel. She painted several murals in Fredericksburg over the years. The elementary school once showed off Patsy’s Disney Princess Paintings, and the Medical Clinic currently has a mural where she cleverly turned her family members, as well as the entire clinic staff, into cartoon woodland creatures.
Patsy also enjoyed playing cards, board games, singing, and dancing. She embraced life’s simple pleasures with enthusiasm and joy. Her greatest happiness was seeing the love spread throughout her family with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Accura HealthCare of New Hampton and the team at St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care and comfort they provided to Patsy and her family during this difficult time.
Family was the center of Patsy’s life, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. She is survived by her husband, Duane Eichenberger of Fredericksburg, IA; her children, Mike (Stacy) Kuker of Clarksville, IA, and Angel (Drew Zern) Dietz of Allerton, IA; her brothers, Tommy Kingsbury of Beaver Creek, OH, and Ronny Kingsbury of Lake Worth, FL; her sister-in-law, Melody Kingsbury of New Hampton, IA; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law; her son-in-law, Jason Dietz; her brother, Bobby Kingsbury; and her sister-in-law, Della Kingsbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Patsy had one other thing she did in her life time. She became a clown and spent some time with Jingles and Peanuts clowning around. When she painted pumpkins she painted a clown face on a pumpkin and glued a wig on the top. It was a shame to throw it away at the end of the season. We do have some other things she made for us including an outdoor christmas card painted on two sheets of plywood which we put out each year. Patsy knew her Lord and and I am glad she can be in his arms in heaven.
