Patricia "Pat" Kuehn, age 91, of North Washington passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Colonial Manor in Elma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church in North Washington with Father Brian Dellaert celebrating the mass. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in North Washington with Cory Kuehn, Jamey Kuehn, Randy Kuehn, Tony Kuehn, Justin Kuehn, Joel Kuehn, Shawn Kuehn, Kyle Kuehn, Tracy Reicks and Eric Sanderson serving as casket bearers, honorary casket bearers will be Jacob Schoenbauer, Jachob Lang and Ben Sanderson. Friends may greet the family from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton. There will be a 3:30 PM Rosary and 7:00 Scriptural Wake Service. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the funeral mass on Friday. Online condolences for Pat's family may be left at www.conway-markhamfh.com. Memorials may be directed to the family. Pat was born in New Hampton on Leap Day, February 29, 1928, the daughter of George and Dora (Bach) Lentz. She was a 1946 graduate of North Washington High School. After completing her education, Pat worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in New Hampton for a year. She was united in marriage to Leo Kuehn on September 21, 1948 at Immaculate Conception Church in North Washington. The couple made their home on the Kuehn Century Family Farm until their retirement in 1992 and moved to New Hampton. Pat and Leo welcomed eight children, four girls and four boys. Pat and Leo enjoyed going to wedding dances, playing cards, traveling throughout the U.S. and other countries, and spending time with friends and family. Pat loved cooking big family meals and baking. Her homemade noodles and pies are especially everyone's favorites. Pat was fond of her long walks, exercise classes and visiting with friends and neighbors. One of Pat's most treasured times was the annual tradition of Easter egg coloring with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Pat was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and Rosary Society, and Las Amigas and other card clubs. Those left to cherish Pat's memories are her children, Wanda (Don) Sanderson of Altoona, IA, Paula (Dwight) Boyum of Rochester, MN, Ellen Price (Dave Lowe) of Ames, IA, Glen (Ruth) and Gene (Nancy) Kuehn of New Hampton, Margie (Kevin) Reicks of Forest City, IA, John (Ronda) and Tim Kuehn of New Hampton; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her sister, Fran (Jerome) Boehmer of Alta Vista; sister-in-law, Florine Boehmer of Mason City, IA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo in 2013; her brother, Joseph Lentz and sister, Lavonne Eischeid.
