Patricia A. Roths, age 60, of Jesup, Iowa and New Hampton, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City, Iowa. Patricia Ann Roths was born in New Hampton, Iowa on October 24, 1947. She was the daughter of Charles and Helen (Condon) Roths. She attended St. Josephs Elementary School and graduated from New Hampton High School in 1966. Following graduation from Winona State College, she taught business classes as NESCO High School in Zearing, Iowa. She began teaching business classes at Jesup High School in 1975 and continued in that position until January 31, 2008. Pat had many interests including; shopping, traveling, following Hawkeye sports and the Christmas season. Most of all, she loved being around family and friends. She treasured her nieces and nephews and participated in all of the important events in their lives. Teaching was also a significant part of her life and she enjoyed supporting the teachers and students at Jesup High School. Pats interest in teaching began when she was a lifeguard during high school. She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup. Pat is survived by her sister Karen (Bill) Reicks of Lawler; nieces and nephews Erin(Scott) Hanrahan of St. Louis Park, MN, Graig (Stephanie) Reicks of Brookings, SD; Aric Reicks of Sioux City, and Seth Reicks who is currently studying in Newcastle, Australia; three uncles Maurice Condon of Dunkerton, IA, John Condon of New Hampton and Michael (Jane) Condon of Metuchen, NJ; and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles and Helen Roths. A loving sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend and teacher, Pat always put everyone ahead of herself. She has had a lasting influence on many lives, as evidenced by over 11,000 visitors to her CaringBridge website during her short illness. There was always a twinkle in her blue eyes and a smile on her face. We love you Pat. Memorials: Memorials may be directed to the Pat Roths Memorial Fund. Cemetery: Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at New Hampton. Visitation: Visitation will be 3:00-7:00pm on Thursday, April 17, 2008 with a memorial tribute at 4:00pm at the Jesup High School in Jesup, Iowa. Visitation in New Hampton will be 4:00-8:00pm on Friday, April 18 at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home with a Scriptural Wake Service at 6:00pm and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Holy Family Parish, St. Josephs Center in New Hampton with Msgr. Carl Schmitt celebrating the mass.
