Nina especially enjoyed the time spent in Australia and New Zealand. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg and had the distinction of being their oldest member. She always enjoyed time spent at the church teaching Sunday school, helping with potlucks, and church circles. Family was very important to Nina, and she cherished time spent with them. She was always up to date on current events both locally and nationally. Nina had a passion for reading books and newspapers. She also liked to crochet, sew, and knit in her spare time. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We remember Nina fondly at the public library. We had many interesting conversations about her travels, books, and the antics of her cats. We miss her. Patricia Ipsen and the library staff

  2. My sympathies to Nina’s family. She was a true pleasure to care for at Linn Haven. I enjoyed our time sitting in the lounge and ‘waiting for the bus’ we would talk about everything under the sun, including how old we were getting (She on some days was 234) and I would tell her she didn’t look a day over 70, and of course we got in a little gossip session once in a while too.. I loved her stories of her waitress days and of her ‘kids’. She always told it the way it was… I will treasure the memories of Nina, what a peach. Lisa Gerleman DON

  3. Your family has our deepest sympathy!! Nina was a dear friend and will be missed by all! Prayers and Hugs!!
