Born on May 16, 1954, Milo lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and a genuine love for others. His journey on this earth was defined by a commitment to family, an unwavering work ethic, and a passion for making an impact through his sense of humor and positively affecting the lives of those around him. A dedicated family man, Milo is survived by Jolee, his loving wife of 48 years. Together, they built a foundation of love, resilience, and shared laughter that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew them. His children, Lindsey, Holly and Derek were the pride and joy of his life, and his grandchildren, Xeno, Brady (Big B), Brady (Little b), Hadley, and Jack brought him immeasurable joy. Professionally, Milo excelled in his career in sales, marketing, and self-employment. His most fond work experiences were his years with Wells Blue Bunny, the operation of the Pizza Palace in Fredericksburg, and his retirement side hustle as owner of Uno Amigo Construction. His diligence, integrity, and leadership left an enduring legacy. His colleagues remember him not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his willingness to lend a helping hand, offering words of encouragement, and of course, his sense of humor. Beyond his professional achievements, Milo was a pillar of strength for his friends and family. He had a passion for spending family time at the Mississippi River in Lansing, past active member of the Mississippi Black Hawks and Water Hawks water ski teams, Fredericksburg Antique Power Show, Fredericksburg pickleball group, numerous grandchildren activities, annual Jamaican vacations, and morning coffee with friends in the Fredericksburg community. His humor was infectious. Whether sharing stories around the coffee table, embarking on family adventures, or simply enjoying quiet moments at home, Milo radiated a sense of warmth that brought people together. A celebration of Milo’s life will be held on Saturday, February 24 at the Fredericksburg Community Center. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering a life well-lived and to offer support to one another during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, it is kindly requested that donations be made to the family where they will distribute the funds for the creation of the planned construction of the Fredericksburg outdoor pickleball courts in memory of Milo (aka “Thunder” as his fellow players called him). May Milo's soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us all to live with love, kindness, gratitude, and laughter. 8. Milo, a wonderful person, a true gentleman, who was kind, soft-spoken, and had a big heart. His life was full and richly lived. He taught me how to make my first pizza, how to clean chicken, how to run a grill, but the most important thing he taught me was how to provide great customer service while having fun at work. Oh, what fun we had! The Big D would not want us to wallow in sorrow, he would want us to LIVE LIFE BIG like he did. Goodbye, Milo, I will treasure all the memories now and forever.

  13. To Jolee & families, So very sorry for your loss. Milo was my 1st. friend & neighbor when we moved to Fburg in 1964, as we lived in Dawn & Gene’s house by the Hatchery. I found Milo’s bb gun & wanted to keep it but he came looking for it, in a nice way, so a friendship began. Had fun playing basketball on his court, going to school together & in later years, always a smile & saying “hey, how are ya?” Jolee, you were the love of his life & he cherished his whole family. He will be greatly missed & I feel lucky to have known him! I share your grief, Linda (Burkhart), as Milo knew me, now Linda Hackman.
