Mike was born on February 29, 1960, in New Hampton, Iowa, the son of Harry and Elaine (Ball) Trewin. He attended school in Fredericksburg and graduated from Fredericksburg High School.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States military. He spent nine years in the United States Air Force and an additional eight years in the United States Army, including two tours in Iraq. His dedication to his country was an important part of his life, and he was proud of the time he spent serving others.

In his free time, Mike enjoyed reading and recreational hunting. He had a curious mind and enjoyed spending time with the things that interested him. Mike was also known for always having a witty joke or clever comment ready. His sense of humor and quick wit could bring a smile or a laugh to those around him, and those who knew him will remember him for his unique personality and ability to make people laugh.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Don Trewin of Fredericksburg and Joann Robinson of New Hampton, along with other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elaine Trewin; and his brothers, Bill Trewin and Tom Trewin.
