Michael Gene Fisher was born January 5, 1966 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Mike grew up in Nashua and attended Nashua High School until his graduation in 1984. During his junior high years he started playing football and continued to play into high school. He suffered a career ending knee injury in high school and was forced to give up the sport he so dearly loved.
Mike enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to go mushroom and asparagus hunting. He was interested in history and Native American culture. He loved looking for arrowheads and unusual colored rocks for his rock garden. Mike always had a small garden with tomatoes and green peppers in it.
Being around family and friends was one of Mike’s favorite things to do, he especially enjoyed playing with the kids. Mike was a kid at heart as well and had a loving soul. He would help anybody out if he could.
Mike is survived by his fianc Jessica White of Nora Springs; two sisters, Karen (Larry) Leach of Pueblo West, Colorado, Bobbi Rowe of Nashua; and one brother Kent (Sandi) Fisher of Nashua.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sharon Kay, Ann and Bob Fisher.
R.I.P Fish!! You’ll be missed! Thoughts and Prayers go out to his family. Sorry for your loss.

I remember Mike as kid on Ham’s Alley. All of the neighborhood kids used to get together in the empty lot on Summer evenings and play hide and seek, Ghost in the graveyard and other childhood games. Mike always walked up from his house to join in and I will always remember him laughing and having a great time! May you rest in peace, Mike!!!
Mike was a dear neighbor to my Mom especially helping us kids keep an eye on her after her surgery. Rest in peace!

We knew Mike as a pleasant man and a hard worker. We were glad to have known him and to have seen him recently and have a nice visit. He loved his grandma very much. We were always touched when we saw him taking good care of her at mass. We knew he was very sad when she passed away. He is happy to be with her again. Rest in peace. Joe and Kirsten Field and children
Wish he would have shared that Morel Mushroom spot! Help us out this Spring, Mike! 🙂

When I worked at Dairy Treat in high school, he would come in and tell me he had just gotten done baking a pie, and needed some ice cream to go with it. He was such a nice guy, so easy to carry on a conversation with him. Have all the pie and ice cream you desire up in heaven, Mike! RIP!

I used to babysit with Mike when I lived in Nashua right across the road from him. Ann and Bob did a great job raising Mike along with Bobbi and Kent. He had a hard life starting out and had some tough things throughout his lifetime but I’m glad to see some family pictures on here and know he had good times with family recently, I didn’t know he was a grandpa….that makes me happy to know he had some happy times. Mike’s family has my prayers of sympathy for a life lost too soon!! Cindy (Beck) Stover
Gona Miss you Mike…you were a great friend and could always make me laugh…You would do anything for anyone…and u liked my cooking!!! lol Fly high with the angels and u will be in our hearts always!!!
Our family shares many memories of Mike when he was a young boy. Ann and Bob raised Mike after a tough situation in life. My parents along with Ann and Bob were great friends for years, thus enjoyed many fun times together, creating lots of memories of Mike as a child. My brother Rick and Mike were very close at a young age and still remained friends to this day. Mike, like many others, made some bad choices in life and he paid for his mistakes, but one thing that never changed was the love and dedication he had for his family and friends. He will be missed by many! Rest in peace Mike. You can now be at peace with all of your parents . Verna (LaBarge) Dirksen
RIP Mike will always be in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
