Mark Gruenberg

Mark Leo Gruenberg, age 66 of New Hampton, Iowa (formerly of Fredericksburg), passed away at his home on December 3, 2021. Private burial will be at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg. Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory in New Hampton has been entrusted with services. Mark was born on May 15, 1955, to Leo and Betty (Churchill) Gruenberg in New Hampton, Iowa. He graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1974. Following graduation, he worked for Moldenhauer Oil Company for many years and various other jobs before retirement because of health issues. Mark enjoyed watching stock car racing and caring for his dog. Mark is survived by his mother, Betty Gruenberg of Fredericksburg, IA; three brothers, Dan Gruenberg of Thornton, CO; David Gruenberg of Clear Lake, IA; Curt (Kathy) Gruenberg of Fredericksburg, IA; and by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Gruenberg in 2014.
