She met the love of her life, Bill Schult in 1940 at a dance in Sumner. Marge and Bill were married September 27, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri. She was a wonderful cook, baker and canner of food to keep her family well fed. After moving off the farm, Marge and Bill opened the Schult Caf and Lounge in Fredericksburg where Marge had the reputation for making the best home cooked breakfasts and lunches on all of Highway 18. Marge and Bill also owned and operated Bill’s Pub for a number of years as well. She enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was so very proud of each of them. Marge enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeye men’s basketball team and playing a game of Euchre with the Fredericksburg Euchre Club, friends and most importantly, her family. 6. Rick, We are saddened by your loss and strengthened in the thoughts of Marge and all she did for you and your family. My last stop thru the burg I stopped by their house and they weren’t home. Linda and I are thinking of you, Deb and family, wishing we could see you more often and you know you have a place to stay if you come to California in the future. Marc & Linda Bigelow

  7. Marc & Linda Really appreciate your kind words. I was just sitting here and thinking about mom this AM and couldn’t think of her without thinking about dad too. A BIG hole is left with both of them gone now. But I know that they have Eternity in Heaven as I was there when they put their Faith and Trust in Christ – so that along with the GREAT memories I have of them gives reassurance. I am biased but these were two of the finest people I have even known. Loving, caring, hardworking, honest people that always wanted to know what could they do for you. My family and I will try to do all we can to continue the legacy they have left and continue these traits.. The verse in James 1:12 comes to mind again for me as I think of mom too…….. Mom and dad went through many trials through their 72 years together. When you have seven kids their are many things that happen…… The daily trials of live and Jack had bad accidents, they lost loved ones……. so many things but they persevered and were a Blessing and were Blessed! Love you forever Mom and Dad Your loving son – Rick

  8. I will miss my mom dearly! She did everything for her family! we always came first, no matter what it was. She would go without, so we could have new shoes or clothes. Mom made our house a home no matter where we lived. She loved each of her children so much and was proud of each of our accomplishments. Losing her will leave an empty place in our hearts, but we will always have and cherish our memories of our loving mom.

  9. As the niece of Barb and Ron Kane, I am sending my sympathy to the whole family. Your mom’s 90 years of life and 72 years of love are sure to be celebrated! Thinking of you, Erin and Phil Joseph of Cape Coral, FL

  10. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. Marge (and Bill) have left behind a wonderful legacy ~ strong, faithful and loving family values that will continue to grace our community through their surviving children and grandchildren. We are truly blessed to have known them. With our deepest sympathy, Steve & Francie
