Marjorie Kucko, age 96, of Elma, IA died on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Colonial Manor in Elma, IA.
Marjorie Ruth Schroeder was born September 8, 1913 in Howard County, IA near Elma, the daughter of Earl and Eliza (Watson) Schroeder. Marjorie attended country school and graduated from Elma High School. She then owned a dress shop in Elma. Marjorie was an excellent seamstress, as well as a quilter. She knitted, crocheted, and was a wonderful cook. On October 11, 1942, Marjorie married Francis Kucko at her parents farm. The couple then moved to Rice Lake, WI and after several years moved back to Elma, IA, where they farmed for many years. Marjorie was a member of Elma United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and the Friends and Neighbors Club.
Marjorie is survived by four sons, Fred and his wife, Ginny of Shell Rock, IA, Jon and his wife, Sherry of Perkins, OK, Dave and his wife, Liz of Austin, TX, and Dale and his wife, Jane of Ft. Worth, TX; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law Wanda Schroeder of Williamsburg, IA.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis in 2006; two sisters Marion and Leone; and two brothers Edwin and Harold.

Cemetery:
Burial will be at Howard Cemetery in Elma, IA with Lee, Matt, Todd, Jay and Chad Kucko and Clint Porter serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Jacob Kucko and Brady Huckabay.
Visitation:
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 10-11am at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Chapel in Elma, IA.
Service:
Funeral Services will be at 11:00am on Thursday April 1, 2010 at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Chapel in Elma, IA with Pastor Paula Hemann officiating.
My Mom, Edna Fountain, and my husband and I extend our deepest sympathy to the family. Im sure you do not remember any of us, but we knew Marjorie. Mom has been living here in Jefferson for the last 20 years, moving here from Elma. She is now 94. Lois and Marvin Kirchner
