Marjorie Alice Olson age 92 of Nashua, IA, died Sunday, June 7, 2015, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home – Olson Chapel in Nashua, with Pastor Bill Nielson presiding. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua with Marjorie’s family servings as pallbearers. Friends may greet the family from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the funeral home. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service on Wednesday. If so desired memorials may be give to the Nashua Public Library or the Nashua V.F.W. Legion Auxiliary. Marjorie Alice Olson was born February 15, 1923 in Horton, IA, the daughter of Harold and Lena (Seibert) Jordan. At the age of five her family moved to Nashua where she remained for the rest of her life. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1940. A few years after graduation she married the love of her life, W.G. “Bill” Olson in Fort Dodge, IA on November 17, 1943. To this union one son was born. While she lived in Nashua she was very active. She was a charter member of the Nashua V.F.W. Auxiliary and was also a fifty-year member. Along with that, she was a fifty-year member of the Eastern Star. Marjorie was the secretary at Nashua High School from 1965 – 1994. She enjoyed working at the school with the kids. Marjorie is survived by one son, Gary (Jeanne) Olson of Nashua; two grandsons, Eric (Kim) Olson of New Hampton and Brad (Andie) Olson of Osage; five great-grandchildren, Kallie Olson, Kacey Olson, Lydia Olson, all of New Hampton, Drew Olson and Rylie Olson of Osage. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill, on October 8, 1973; one brother, Wendell Jordan; two sisters, Helen Jordan and Juanita Wilken; one sister in law, Evelyn Jordan; one brother in law, Vernon Wilken.
