Lyle Fisher

Lyle H. Fisher, age 88 of Nashua, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the Waverly Health Center.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at the United Methodist Church in Nashua. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua with military honors.
Friends may call 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009, at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Lyle Henry Fisher was born October 20, 1921, in rural Chickasaw County near Nashua, IA, the son of Earl and Mary (Baldwin) Fisher. He attended school in rural country school and at the Nashua High School. On November 16, 1942, he was inducted into the United States Army. He served three years, three months and three days, being honorably discharged on March 10, 1946.
On February 21, 1944, at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, he married Ruth Litterer. To this union three children were born. Lyle was retired from the former White Farm Equipment Company in Charles City having worked there for over 30 years. In his free time he loved his pets especially the homing pigions he raised since the age of 13.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Barb (George) Agnitsch of Nashua; six grandchildren, Andrea Lines, Anthony Fisher, Adam Fisher, Dawn Garbes, Michelle Johnson and Jason Agnitsch; two step-grandchildren, Chad Klien and Heather Klien; 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ben (Marlene) Fisher of Charles City and Mark Fisher of Nashua.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Donald Fisher in 1987 and Benjamin Fisher in infancy; two sisters, Coral Newlon and Mona Newton; five brothers, Edmund, Loyal, Donald, Lawrence and Leland Fisher.
