Lucille Kruse age 95 of Norwalk, IA, formerly of Waucoma, IA, died Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Edencrest at the Legacy in Norwalk, IA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma with Rev. Nick Radloff celebrating the Mass. For those unable to attend in person please join live on the Hugeback - Johnson Funeral Home Facebook page. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Waucoma with Aaron Kruse, Craig Kruse, Michael Kruse, Eric Seitz, Mark Semrad, and Scott Hagen serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis & Glenda Schmitt, Dean & Cheryl Schmitt, Carl & Mandy Kriener, Joann & Don Wurzer, Angie Busta, Agatha Busta, Bonnie Hageman, Kim & Randy Tieskotter, Alan & Ann Wenthold. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church on Monday. Lucille Angela (Hageman) Kruse, daughter of Nick and Rosalia (Imoehl) Hageman was born October 5, 1926, in Winneshiek County near Festina, Iowa. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church in Festina Iowa. She received her education at St Mary's School in Festina. On October 25, 1950, Lucille was united in marriage to John Kruse. To this union, four children were born. They farmed in the area for 54 years. Lucille was a member of St Mary's Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Rosary & Altar Society, Jolly Old Timers, and several card clubs. Lucille was compassionate, determined, resilient, and selfless! She received great joy from sharing her gifts of time and talent with those in need. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and board games. Hobbies included quilting, embroidering, flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. Lucille is survived by three children, Kenneth (Marsha Nierling) Kruse of Burr Oak, IA, Verna (David) Seitz of Waukesha, WI, Jean (Ted) Lare of Cumming, IA; grandchildren, Lisa & Scott Hagen, Lois & Chris Kellett, Sharon Kuennen, Aaron & Michelle Kruse, Craig & Tracy Kruse, Michael Kruse & Jeanne Skillings, Eric & Amber Seitz, Nicole & Mark Semrad, Melissa & Tim Peterson, Keegan & Jill Lare; great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Hagen, Nathan Hagen, Megan Frazer, Josh Frazer, Brandon Frazer, Christian Kellett, Callie Kellet, April Kruse, William Kruse, Carson Kruse, Dominic Seitz, Elizabeth Seitz, Isabella Semrad, Emma Peterson, Brooke Peterson, Madelyn Peterson, and Ashton Lare; two sisters, Dolores Kuennen of Sumner, IA; Sister Joan Hageman FSPA, La Crosse, WI; son-in-law, Martin Kuennen; two sisters-in-law, Pat Hageman, and Elaine Hageman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Kruse in 2005; daughter, Carol Kuennen in 2019, sisters, Florentina Hageman, Rita Wenthold, Vera Kriener; brothers, Marcellinus Hageman, Edwin Hageman, Ermin Hageman, Quentin Hageman and Victor Hageman.
