Lieschen 'Snick Fossse age 89, formerly of Nashua died June 21st, 2014. She died peacefully at home with our three daughters and husbands holding hands. Our son, Chris was here several days ago with wife Susie to give their good-byes to his blessed mother. Snick was born January 23, 1925 in Lytton, Iowa and attended Sheffield, Iowa High School, and a business college in Missouri. During the war, Snick worked as a secretary in Des Moines, and after her marriage was a secretary for Luther College in Decorah. Snick and her husband, Nav moved to Nashua, Iowa from Decorah, Iowa in 1948 and together founded the Nashua Tile Company, which evolved into the Hydrotile Machinery Company with over 250 employees at plants in Nashua, Iowa, Ontario, Canada and one in Holland. The company sold machines for making concrete pipe all over the world and Snick was an invaluable Goodwill Ambassador for the company. They traveled to over 40 countries, retiring Hydrotile in 1990 and moving to a retirement home in California in 2004. At her request, plans are to have outdoor services at Margaret’s Pavilion at their home at The Covington, in Aliso Viejo, California. 'Snick' left detailed written instructions that it shall be a gala affair, and will be a pleasant celebration of her life for all family and guests. She will be laid to rest in Nashua, Iowa, their home for over 50 years. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. September 20, 2014 with a gathering of friends and family at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel following the service. Survivors include her husband, Nav and they were blessed with four children, Chris (Susie), Karen Johnson (Bruce), Becky Robinson (Dave) and Greta Fosse. She is also survived by eight lovely grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Rudolph and Gretchen Dahlke, and one brother John.

Dick said that Nav would be happy to know the Power House is now generating electricity & that Nav had looked into this for years. Please know that we are keeping you in our thoughts & prayers during this most difficult time. Dick & Sue Baldwin

  6. Thank you Dick and Sue. I guess that you and I were the final hold outs for the old clan back in 1991. You were always tops in my book and you were always right there when needed. AI typical very fine employee. Yes, I am interested in the power plant and I did not know it was operating.
