  1. We love and miss you Grandpa. Thank you for everything you taught and gave Orion he loves you more than you will ever know. (Picture) Grandpa and Jilly (great grandaughter) .

  2. We met in a model airplane club which met weekly in the high school shop room. LaVern bought the biggest motor he could find and built an airplane (control line) for it. He won a contest with it. I attended your parents wedding at the Little Brown Church. Your dad made a special effort to come see me in New Hampton last year. We had a great visit. I enjoyed it so much. He was a special friend. We send you our condolences. Jack and Virginia Baltes Circle Pines, MN

  3. We will miss you LaVern . My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. LaVern and I flew alot of airplanes together once he wanted to get back into RC flying some years back. I re-taught your Dad to fly again. The biggest habit I had to break of his was standing in the middle of the flying field and flying in a circle around himself. We now fly behind a fence line and in front of us.We always had fun together and the stories of building flying and crashing went on and on. I will always hold your Dad in my memories of the Sport of Model Aviation. His Shoestring Plane I wish he could of flown again. He always talked about that.

  4. LaVerne was a real dear friend that I am going to miss deeply. He always helped me so much with my airplanes. Sorry to hear of his passing, his wife was always so nice too when she answered my calls. My sincerest condolences to the family. May God bless you and give you His peace at this difficult time.
