Larry Ronnei

Larry Ronnei, age 70, of New Hampton, IA died Friday, March 13, 2020 at MercyOne Medical Center in New Hampton, IA. Friends may greet the family from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in New Hampton. Larry "Lad" Duane Ronnei was born December 6, 1949 in New Hampton, Iowa, the son of Paul and Noreen (O'Connor) Ronnei. Lad attended school in New Hampton. After he completed his schooling he sought out to travel the country. Lad loved to travel all over. He went to many different places including Colorado and California. While on the road, he worked for a carnival along with many other odds and ends jobs. Lad also spent some time working at the Drewelow Mink Farm in Boyd, IA. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, going to various garage sales around the area and thrift shopping. Lad is survived by three sons, Jamie House of Arkansas, Trevor (Raychl) Ronnei of Charles City, IA, Brandon (Jazz Baldwin) Hoffman of New Hampton; two daughters, Normadge (Steve) Willison of Charles City, IA, Nina (Brian) Hoffman of New Hampton; one brother, Nub Ronnei of Nashua, IA; one sister, Molly (Marty) Onken of New Hampton; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
