Kenneth Leo Lines, age 93 of Nashua, Iowa died Monday, March 29, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua. Interment will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City, with Stephen Lines, David Bonzer, Bruce Winkelman, Rob Bond, Steve Minikus and Cody Austin serving as pallbearers. Jared Minikus will be an honorary pallbearer. Friends may call 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010, at the Hugeback and Chenoweth Funeral home in Nashua. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Kenneth Leo Lines was born December 16, 1916, in West St. Charles Township, Floyd County, IA, the son of Archie Charles and Bertha Pauline (Hobert) Lines. He received his education in rural country schools and attended the Nashua High School. On August 28, 1940, Kenneth married Josephine Lambert. The couple adopted two children together, David and Janice. They later divorced. On March 4, 1954, in Austin, MN, he married Valeda R. Winkelman. Kenneth and Valeda farmed together in the Nashua area for many years. Kenneth also did some carpentry and plumbing work as well as custom farming. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Valeda; one son, Paul (Christi) Lines of Nashua; one daughter, Gloria (Richard) Wyborny of Charles City; one adopted son; David (Nancy) Lines of Canyonville, OR; one adopted daughter, Janice (Paul) Hantleman of Hopkins, MN; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a son-in-law; Larry Bunston of Ionia; one brother, Guy Lines of Charles City; one half-sister, Beldyne Ferch of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Donna Mae (Bonzer) Bunston; three brothers, Volna Lines, Clifford Lines and Russell Bean; one sister, Helen Goetsch.
