Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Shorty was an amazing person and always had a smile. Shortys engaging personality was warm and welcoming. She made you feel like the most important person in the world. Lots of memories so I will try to keep this short.. As a kid I remember riding my bike to their farm outside of North Washington and coming up the long driveway and seeing her waiting with the door open and a cold refreshment (probably one of the few times it wasn’t a beer, lol) A few years later they were one of the first to buy a cabin @ Carville. They were always trendsetters, Lots of memories created their that will continue for generations I was so lucky to spend many Holidays with Shorty, it was like having another Grandmother. As i got older the ‘refreshments’ changed. I tried to stop in and see them when i got back home. Didnt matter what time of the day (or morning) it was I always had to have a shot of something or a beer. Wish i could be back home to celebrate her life with you all. I’ll raise my glass and join you in a toast to the great life of Shorty Hilsman! Cory Crawford
