Kathleen A. Turner age 78 of New Hampton died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Linn Haven Rehab and Healthcare in New Hampton.
Friends may greet the family 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, at
Hugeback - Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton where there will be a 4:30 p.m. Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. parish scripture service.
Kathleen Ann Turner was born March 12, 1937 in New Hampton, IA the daughter of John and Margaret (Rausch) Wegner. She attended school at St. Josephs Catholic School. Throughout her life, Kathleen worked at Little Butch’s as a cook and waitress. She later moved to Los Angeles where she lived with relatives. While she lived in Los Angeles, she worked as a receptionist at RCA Records.
Kathleen later moved to Chicago where she was introduced to the love of her life, Kay Turner. The couple was married in August of 1961 in Chicago. They adopted their son, Richard, in October of 1969. After several years, they moved to New Hampton where Kathleen pursued other interest which included grooming dogs for many years.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Kay Turner; one son, Richard Turner of Oklahoma; one daughter, Vanessa Fuller of Waterloo, IA; two brothers, Russ (Nancy) Wegner of Fredericksburg, IA, and Steve (Sue) Wegner of New Hampton, IA; three sisters, Marilyn Wegner of New Hampton, IA, Anita (Ron) Vikdal of North Washington, IA, and Joyce (Lester) Shatek of New Hampton, IA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Victor Barbara; three brothers, Gary, Richard and Allan.
Kay and all the Wegner family-Sorry to hear of Kathleen’s passing. She was a beautiful lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her. You have my sympathy and know she will be in heaven with her parents and brothers.
To Kay and family. So enjoyed taking care of Kathy when she was at Linn Haven. She was kind, brave and very sweet. Love and prayers to all of you. Linda Flick.
