Julaine J. Farrell age 62 of New Hampton died Saturday, December 11, 2010, at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Holy Family Parish - St. Joseph Center, New Hampton with Rev. Mark Osterhaus celebrating the Mass. Her five daughters will place the pall on the casket. James Neuzil will be the Lector and the offertory gifts will be presented by Nolan and Brock Hromidko, Ashlee Crawford, Paige and Curtis Nelson, Levi Suhr. Interment will be in the New Hampton City Cemetery with Todd Suhr, Tony Crawford, Dylan Suhr, James Howe, James Neuzil and Dennis Howe serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Levi Suhr, Paige Nelson, Curtis Nelson, Taylor Neuzil, Nolan Hromidko, Brock Hromidko, Rylee Simpson, Ashlee Crawford and Caycee Crawford. Friends may greet the family 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in New Hampton. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Julaine Jean Farrell was born February 17, 1948, in Charles City, the daughter of Walter and Bernadine (Brown) Howe. She grew up in Rockford, IA and was a graduate of the Charles City High School. On March 20, 1965, she married Kenneth William Farrell. To this union five daughters were born. The couple made New Hampton their home where Julaine worked at Mercy Medical Center for over 29 years. She spent her life devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Kenneth; five daughters, Shelly (Todd) Suhr of New Hampton, Karri Simpson of Cedar Rapids, Penney (James) Neuzil of Ft. Atkinson, Robyn (Tony) Crawford of New Hampton, Kelley Farrell of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Bernadine Howe of Rockford; two brothers, Dennis (Diane) Howe of Mason City, James (Rhonda) Howe of Rockford; three sisters, Janelle (Dana) Larson of Rudd, Diane Howe, Kathy (Bryan) Hobbs all of Rockford; ten grandchildren, Dylan Suhr, Levi Suhr, Nolan Hromidko, Brock Hromidko, Rylee Simpson, Paige Nelson, Curtis Nelson, Taylor Neuzil, Ashlee Crawford and Caycee Crawford; her mother-in-law, Maxine Farrell of Charles City; two brothers-in-law, John Farrell of Charles City and Jerry (Sherry) Farrell of Hudson. She was preceded in death by her father.

  9. Julie was such a neat lady! She would come into the cleaners and strike up a conversation. When we moved north of town she would bring 1 or 2 of the grandkids with her. She was always so proud of you girls and would keep us informed as to what you were up to. God has another angel in heaven!
