Judith Langdon

Judith Langdon, age 66, of Fredericksburg, Iowa died Monday evening, January 7, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, IA. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Joel De Boer officiating. Private family interment will be in the New Hampton City Cemetery. Friends may greet the family beginning at 12:00 Noon, Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Judith Ann Langdon was born September 6, 1946, in New Hampton, IA, the daughter of Stanley and Mabel (Zipse) Douglas. Judith began her education in a rural county school. She also went to the New Hampton Community Schools and graduated from the New Hampton High School in 1965. Judith was a longtime Nursing Assistant in several area nursing homes in New Hampton and Tripoli. On September 24, 1984, in Smithland, KY, she married William Langdon. Judith gave her life to the Lord in 1984 and has been her children’s greatest support. She will be remembered by her family as a very devoted and caring mother. Survivors include her husband, William Langdon of Fredericksburg; one daughter, Kim Widener of Oklahoma City, OK; one son, Gary Flora of McAlister, OK; several step-children; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gary (Mary Jane) Douglas of New Hampton, Ken (Jeannie) Douglas of New Hampton, Mike Wilson of Waverly, IA and Dale (Karen) Douglas of Britt, IA; three sisters, Lorna Eaton of Waterloo, Shirley (Lyle) Mohlis of Sumner and Barb Douglas of Nashua. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mary Jo Rings.
