Jonah Melvin Johnson, stillborn son of Drew and Maggie Johnson of New Hampton, died Tuesday morning, August 13, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, August 16, 2013, at Holy Family Parish - St. Joseph Center in New Hampton with Rev. Mark Osterhaus officiating. Emily Baltes will lector and Mike Carlin, cantor. Sharon and Steve Kipp will present the offertory gifts.
Burial will be in the New Hampton City Cemetery following the service with Andy Hugeback, Deanne Vaughan and Dana Lehmann serving as pallbearers.
Friends may greet the family 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the church prior to the service.
Jonah is loved by his parents, Drew and Maggie Johnson of New Hampton; grandparents, Keith and Lori Johnson of Alta Vista, Bryan and Gayla Hugeback of New Hampton; aunts, Deanne (Joe) Vaughan and their daughter, Birdie of Minneapolis and Dana (Erik) Lehmann and their son Owen of Iowa City; uncle, Andy Hugeback of New Hampton; great-grandparents, Dean and Alice Schroeder of Chester, Rose Hugeback of Algona and Marlene Reicks of New Hampton.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Melvin and Avis Johnson, Melvin Reicks and Leon Hugeback.
