John Schroyer

John A. Schroyer age 69 of Fredericksburg, IA died Friday, May 1, 2020 at his home. A private family service will be held at a later date. John Arthur Shroyer was born December 24, 1950 in West Union, IA, the son of Gerald and Artalee (Phillips) Shroyer. He attended Wadena Elementary Schools as a child before graduating from Starmont High School in 1969. John worked at Heartland Express and Beatrice Cheese as a truck driver. He enjoyed driving truck and the time he spent on the road. He often spoke highly of seeing the different sights and attractions while on the road. He met Rose Urness while he was working construction and he came in while she was the cook at the restaurant in Fredericksburg. The couple talked and hit if off. They were married on June 18, 1983. John was a longtime member of the AmVets in Fredericksburg and was proud of his service. One thing that he will always be remembered for his how loving and caring he was. He always took such wonderful care of his wife Rose. He is survived by his wife, Rose Schroyer of Fredericksburg, IA; step-children Karla (Ramiah Whiteside) Suthers of Fredericksburg, IA, Kurt (Kammy) Hoeper of Boscobil, WI; six step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-grandchild Damien Hoeper.
