Jim A. Jordan 69, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his rural Plainfield home of natural causes. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua with Kenny Peterson officiating. The family will greet family and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be a later date. Jim Allen Jordan was born at home in Frederika on October 22, 1939, the son of Clyde and Cleora (Slick) Jordan. He graduated from Frederika High School in 1957. He was united in marriage to Della Plummer in 1958. To this union five children were born. After working at several different places. Jim then went to work for John Deere and retired after 33 years of service. Jim enjoyed fishing, taking care of his cattle, running around the country on his Kawasaki 4 - wheeler, and being with his family especially the grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Della; two sons, Jimmy (Tracey) Jordan of Jones, OK and Randy (Cindy) Jordan of Ashland, NE; three daughters, Glenda (Sam) Wilharm of Clarksville, Loretta (Randy) White of Alta Vista and Sherry (Robert) Saxen of Sergeant Bluff; three brothers, Leslie (Irene) Jordan of Nashua, Terry (Lois) Jordan of Sumner and Roger (Madonna) Jordan of Branson, MO; three sisters, Lavona Hansen of Waterloo, Joyce (Jerry) Pitz of Frederika and Sandra (Raymond) Tuitjer of Waverly; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Addison Wilharm and a brother-in-law, Charles Hansen.
