Jean Swinton Smart, age 67 of Bethesda, MD, formerly of Nashua, died Saturday August 21, 2010, at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday August 30, 2010 in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.
Jean Swinton Smart was born October 19, 1942, the daughter of Robert and Joyce (Richards) Swinton. She attended school in Nashua, graduating in 1961. She continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa. Jean worked as a legal secretary and legal assistant in Maryland near Washington D.C.
Survivors include one brother, Wayne (Katherine) Swinton of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Judy Swinton of Albany, NY and Carol Millington of Richmond, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Gary.

Jean was an amazing person and it was with much shock and sadness to learn of her passing. Her wit, humor, and charm will be missed by so many. Jean’s family is in our thoughts and prayers.
