Jean Marie 'J.P.' Paulson age 59 of LeRoy, MN, formerly of New Hampton, IA, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, at the Jerico Lutheran Church, Jerico, with Rev. Peter Faugstad presiding. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may greet the family 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the service at the church Jean Marie “J.P.” Paulson was born October 14, 1957, in New Hampton, IA, the daughter of Orvin and Donna (Heimerdinger) Paulson. She received her education in New Hampton and was a 1976 graduate of the New Hampton High School. Jean worked many odd​ jobs and had several cleaning jobs around the area. She also filled in as bartender for many years. Survivors include one sister, Judy Broer of Fredericksburg; one niece, Denise (Joel) Franzen of Ames; two nephews, Eric Broer and Donald Broer, both of Fredericksburg; one great-niece, Kylie Franzen of Ames: several aunts and uncles; ​special friend​,​ Tim Shea of Cresco. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Wilmer “Butch” Broer.

  1. Judy and family So sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. I always enjoyed visiting with her when we would meet in a store or at the Hotel in the apartments when I would take care of Carol Bottin. So young to die but we know she is in God’s hands. Prayers for you and family.
