Jean Rosauer
February 10, 1940 ~ October 7, 2014
Jean Ann Rosauer, age 74 of Lansing, IA, formerly of New Hampton died Tuesday October 7, 2014 at the Medina Manor Nursing Home in Durand, IL, following a long courageous battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Holy Family Parish, New Hampton with Rev. Mark Osterhaus celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Hampton, with Craig Rosauer, Kendall Rosauer, Scott Arnold, D.J. Nosbisch, Roger Knutson and Vincent Tenge serving as pallbearers.
Friends may greet the family an hour prior to the Mass at the church on Saturday.
Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
Jean Ann Rosauer was born February 10, 1940, in New Hampton, IA, the daughter of John P. and Eva (Schmidt) Rosauer. She received her education at St. Mary’s Grade School in New Hampton and graduated from the New Hampton High School in 1958. Jean had worked at the former First National Bank, Peoples Savings and Loan, Brickley CPA all in New Hampton and Meinerz Creamery in Fredericksburg. After moving to Lansing, IA, she continued in bookkeeping and started her own business. In her free time, she enjoyed doing crafts and traveling.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Jane (Dave) Nosbisch of Durand, IL; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Rosauer of New Hampton; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and newphews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John W. “Jack” Rosauer and a special friend, Gary Larson.
