Janice was united in marriage to Ronald Dean Stevenson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa on June 30, 1958. They moved to Toledo, Iowa in 1959 living in the country where they raised six children. She was a homemaker until all the children were grown. Janice was a member of Toledo American Legion, being 3rd District President 1989/1990. She enjoyed road trips-flower gardens-working in her large yard-the company of friends-and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
Janice is survived by five children-Kevin of Merrill, WI; Bobby (Barb) of Keystone Heights, FL; Kim (Dennis Scarbrough) Buenzow of Nashua, IA; Valerie (Karl) Koenig of Stockbridge, GA; and Ronald Scott (Mandy) of Storm Lake, IA. Fourteen grandchildren-Matthew, Daniel, Shasta, Olivia, Laura, Kelsey, Sara, Jill, Katelyn, Megan, Hilary, Charles, Evan, and Jacob; and ten great grandchildren with "baby Hodges" coming soon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ron (August 27, 2015); two sisters, Gertie Havlik, Lorraine Morris and brother James Komarek; daughter Rhonda (June 24, 1974) and grandson Daniel (March 6, 2006).

My son Ethan and I will miss Jan. Prayers to the family.
Our hearts goes out to you and your family Kelsey. We pray your happy memories will help you through this difficult time. Love your Hodges family.
I met Jan when I joined the Toledo American Legion Auxiliary years ago. I learned a lot from her about Patriotism. She was so friendly and helpful when I became the president. I had not seen her for some time and was sadden to learn she had passed to heaven.
