Only Barb will know who I am. My mother is a resident at the New Hampton Care Center, and she and I always visited when we were there at the same time. I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to all of you. Harold was a very nice man, although I only knew him since the summer of 2009. He was always ready to tease and smile. I remember when his grandson (I assume Barb’s son) and he had a wonderful visit at the care center! Although I was a complete stranger to both of them, I immediately knew how important they were to each other. I live in Illinois–not that far from Long Grove–so Barb, I completely understand how difficult it was to be a long-distance loving daughter. I ventured to New Hampton this past weekend for the first time since Thanksgiving as the weather had not been cooperating. When Harold did not come out for dinner, I was informed of his passing. My condolences go out to all of his family.

So sorry to hear about your dad. Nice guy. Fond memories of my dad and uncle discussing cars with your dad and uncle. My first car – a Nash rambler – came from them. It was always enjoyable talking to both of the brothers and there was no shortage of teasing going on back and forth and between generations. Take care.

Sad to hear of Hime’s death. We Gilberts spent many a day at the Kramer house as youngsters–Mom & Berniece playing cards or something. Hime was always there teasing us. He also sold my husband many a car in his day. You have my sympathies.
Our sympathy goes out to you and your families at this time of sorrow.
Oue deepest sympathy to all the family. We spent many years with Heim and Bernice. Jack working next door to the Kramer boys, and Betty helping Bernice with Girl Scouting and other projects. Heim was always fun to talk to and always had a smile on his face. May he rest in peace
