  1. How lucky New Hampton students were to have Mrs.Antle and the excellent music program she helped to create there. She was a class act for sure! 🎼💗

  2. Mrs. A. provided a great environment for all of her students and I always felt welcomed/safe in her room. A true professional and outstanding teacher!!

  4. Mrs. Antle was the vocal music teacher my first few years at New Hampton High. She was always so kind and helpful to the new staff. My sympathy to her family.

  5. She was a wonderful teacher and a dear friend of Eileen Kennedy. Eileen will welcome her into her Heavenly home.

  6. Mrs. A was an outstanding teacher. She created an enriching environment for all and had the gift of being able to challenge us to be better while we were having fun. Between Mrs. A and Mr. Utterback, I felt safe and supported everyday in that end of the building. My prayers and sympathy to the family! 🙏🙏🙏

  7. Mrs. Antel was a wonderful lady, educator, and friend. She nourished the joy of music in hundreds of individuals both in and out of school! Her memory will always be with them! Our sympathies to her family. We are honored she was our friend. Dennis and Marge

  8. Mrs. Antle was a wonderful lady who loved music and helped young people love music as well! She held high expectations for her students and yet her students loved her for that. I always looked forward to her classes in high school and thank her for helping me love music as well! The angels are singing their welcome to her in Heaven! My sympathies to her family. ❤️

  9. Ms. A was such a wonderful mentor and lovely lady! I have great memories of choir, Scarleteers and the fun we all had under her direction and guidance. The music rooms were always a comforting place to spend time during the day (singing, dancing and learning). She was an important part of my young life and her values and love for her students were an inspiration. What a blessing! My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.

  10. Mrs. A. was one of our class advisors, outstanding vocal instructor, and overall kind and caring lady. On behalf of the NHHS Class of 1969, we extend heartfelt condolences to her family.

  11. Mrs. A was my home room teacher through High School! She was one of the best! I look back at how she inspired all of us kids with her love of music and her caring way! God Bless her!

  12. God used Mrs. Antle as an amazing and wonderful instrument of blessing in my life and the lives of hundreds and hundreds of students throughout the years. I never would have become a professional opera singer without her.
The first day or my sophomore year, she stopped in the hall to ask, “Are you the one who was in all the plays last year?” When I responded yes, she asked if I could sing. I said I didn’t know. Mrs. A then said, “Well, clear your seventh period and join Chorus.” I did and never looked back.
I am forever grateful to Mrs. A for her excellent teaching, example and encouragement. She used to tell us, if you don’t use the gifts God gave you, He will take them away and give them to someone else. She was a generous, kind and loving Christian lady and I have the utmost respect for her.
I feel sure she is using her excellent skills on the piano to accompany the heavenly choir.
My condolences and prayers to her family and loved ones. Rest in peace, Mrs. Antle-Hayes.
You are missed. Ida Huber Mitchell

  13. I must add that Mrs. Antle was instrumental in having me audition for a scholarship at Simpson College, so I could work with Dr. Robert Larsen. Dr. Larsen was head of the Music Department and Opera Program at Simpson, as well as Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Des Moines Metro Opera. He became my mentor, and I owe that to Mrs. Antle as well! I love that dear lady. ❤️
