Gary and I grew up and went to school together in the Protivin area. And over the years we kept in touch whenever we could. My friend – your mind was always sharp (in our many late night discussions) and what an athlete you were. Such a caring person. Rest in peace and take your great smile with you to your afterlife. And sincerest sympathy to Gary’s brothers Sonny & Joe and to his sisters. ~Neal Novotny, Foster City, CA

I got to meet Gary when I worked at the Time Out Lounge and then later I worked with him at Sara Lee. I had many good conversations with Gary and will miss seeing him playing basketball at the parks around town. My sympathy to the Kalishek family.

We were saddened to hear of Gary’s passing. He had many trilals through out his life but one thing that always remained strong was his faith in the Lord and that there were better times ahead. He made many visits out to the office to touch base with us and the animals. He loved the dogs and thought they needed him as much as he needed them.
