Frank E. Wickham Sr. age 65 of New Hampton died Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with military honors by the Fredericksburg Amvets.
Frank Everette Wickham Sr. was born September 2, 1945, in Postville, IA, the son of Fay and Evelyn Lucille (Jones) Wickham. He received his education in Postville and was a graduate of the Postville High School. He was inducted into the United States Navy on August 21, 1963 and received an honorable discharge on September 1, 1966. While in the service, he married Gloria Gutierrez and to this union a daughter, Gloria was born. The couple later divorced. On October 7, 1967, in Prairie Du Chien, WI, he married Phyllis Livingood. To this union four children were born. The couple initially lived in Waterloo where Frank worked for John Deere. In 1976, they made new Hampton their home. Frank attended school to be an auctioneer in 1980 and continued until retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two daughters, Gloria Wickham of Waterloo, Tamara (Kody) Kottke of Fredericksburg; two sons, Frank Wickham Jr. of New Hampton, Chad (Laura) Wickham of Minneapolis; one sister, Sharon (Grant) Snitker of Waukon; nine grandchildren, Jerry Blyd Jr., Brooke Ameling, Bethany Wickham, Jessica Boyd, Dakota Wickham, Mariah Wickham, Carter Wickham, Cade Kottke and Quinn Kottke.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kendra Wickham in 1967.

I am one of Frank’s distant cousins. I didn’t see him too often but I’d like to say that I am very sorry for his family’s loss. I’ll miss seeing his and Phyllis’s faces at auctions around Iowa! He is with the angels now.
I am so sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can say that will take the pain away. I hope time will help you find comfort knowing that he is no longer in pain. Phyllis and Family, I was very saddend to hear the news that Frank had passed away. I enjoyed the time I spend with Frank. It seemed that he always had a way of making a person smile even if he didn’t want to. Take faith in knowing that he no longer has to suffer and that you all have an amazing angel watching over you all. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God bless.

Frank, Tammy, Chad, and Phyllis, so sorry to hear the passing of your dad/husband. It is a loss no one wants to experience. Relish in the great memories and lean on friends and family for support.
